Drum roll... GRAND FINALS THIS WEEKEND

Congrats to all four North Clare Netball Club teams through to the big GRAND FINAL this weekend (22nd Sept) at Blyth.

The Preliminary final was held at Spalding last Saturday 15th. Unfortunately the J1's were defeated by Min Man so are now out, but the A1's had a fantastic game to defeat Min Man by 11 and earn the spot in the grandy to play South Clare. (Rumour has it that this is the first time North and South have ever played against each other in an A1 Gand Final. Amazing!!)

All winners went straight through to the GRAND FINAL! Huge congratulations to the three winning teams!

• A1's North defeated BSR by 15
• B1's BBH defeated North by 3
• C2's South defeated North by 3

Sooo.... this Saturday, make sure you get out to Spalding for the Prelimination Final.

All players/supporters are encouraged to come and support these two teams. Go on, do it for your club!

And remember, the netball & football wind up is on Sunday 23rd September at the sports complex.

North Clare Netters Trip 2007: Save the Date!

Yep, it’s that time of year again. Get the 12th - 14th of October marked as "busy" in your diaries. It just so happens that these are the same dates as the Clare Show weekend but with the long weekend, Footy trip and the Clare Relay for Life also planned for October this has proven to be the best weekend. A good excuse for those dads to have a day at the show!!

We will need everyone to meet at 4.30pm to leave by 5.00pm for dinner arrangements. So make sure you can have an early minute that Friday!

This to be confirmed, but we are making it as cheap as possible with lots included!!! We are trying to do some fundraising to keep costs down as much as possible, so if you have any good ideas of simple money spinners, let us know.

Are You Keen?
Let Kate Fuller or Steph Coles know if you want to join in this weekend of fun. Everyone is welcome, as long as your female! The more people though, the cheaper it will be so encourage your team mates, supporters and club members to hop on the bus!!

Girls Night Out

Whatever you do, don't miss out on the upcoming "Girls Night Out". It will be held on Saturday 18 August at the Bentleys Function Room from 7.30pm. Tea will be available and plenty of fun too.

The NENA website now has scores entered for all grades and the UNOFFICIAL Premiership Table.

1) Just go to http://www.nena.netball.asn.au/

2) Click on "Competitions" under Main Menu on the left

3) Pick your grade and either click on results/draws for progress scores or program for 2007, or

4) Click on Ladder for an up to date UNOFFICIAL PREMIERSHIP TABLE, or

5) Just have a play around!!

Rooster's Day on the Green

What do you get when you cross a bunch of crazy North Clare Netball Club players, with a set of bowls, too much lipstick, a little bit of booze and Santa Claus?


A great Christmas Party...!


On Sunday 10th December, a bunch of North Clare Netball Club bowls-wannabes went to the Watervale Bowling Club and tried their darndest to get as close to that white ball as possible.







Diesy (O'Driscoll) and Emma (Coles) took out the championship round, with (Kate) Fuller and (Katrina) Foxe(y) coming in a CLOSE second. Sort of.


Club President and Treasurer (Sonya Baum and Jo Goodwin respectively) were handed the wooden spoon prize for coming last. (Their bowling ability should NOT be considered during the 2007 netball trials.)




All in all, a brilliant day. Thanks to those who organised it and stay tuned for the next NCNC social event.
